I’m very pleased to announce the official launch of my new business venture: Lucid Mover Coaching for Creatives.
This is something I’ve wanted to do for several years now, but it was only after my recent experience at a Sacred Sons men’s retreat that I realised just how important it was that I dedicate all my energy to it right now.
One of the group leaders recommended something called Ikigai to me- this is a Japanese concept of “finding your life purpose” and involves looking at 4 areas of your life:
What you love
What you are good at
What you can be paid for
What the world needs
By filling out the different sections, I discovered various areas of correlation that pointed directly towards me running my own business dedicated to helping creatives improve their wellbeing, happiness and productivity.
I’ve been a multifaceted creative my entire life- writer, artist, musician, filmmaker, promoter, freelancer and business owner. So I understand the chaos of life in the creative sector and the challenges it brings.
As creatives, we feel a burning desire to create our art but life inevitably gets in the way and this can lead to feelings of depression, anxiety and low self-worth.
The creative industries are notoriously some of the most challenging sectors to work in, but they can also be the most rewarding.
There is a mountain of evidence to support the fact that there is currently a mental health crisis amongst creatives in areas like music, film and the arts.
My own personal experience as an independent creative has taught me invaluable lessons about the kinds of obstacles creatives encounter and through a gruelling process of trial and error I have learned what works and what does not.
You can find out more about my practice on my website.
My Offering
I’m calling in creatives who want to develop their creative practice, increase their productivity and improve their sense of well-being.
I’ve created a programme of personal and professional development tools that, along with my 1-2-1 support and guidance, will support clients in achieving ambitious goals.
This could be anything from completing a novel or recording an album to curating an art exhibition or launching an online store.
This programme will be suitable for anyone involved in a project that requires sustained focus, consistency and the ability to overcome challenges.
I’m certain that with my support, anybody who is committed to making a positive change will be able to see dramatic improvements in their life and career.
You can find out more about my coaching practice on my coaching page, or book a Zoom call via the button below.
The November Challenge
To celebrate the launch of my coaching business I have set myself a challenge this month to apply my coaching tools to my own practice and share about my journey each day on social media.
I am going to be taking part in NaNoWriMo this month, with the target of writing 50,000 words of a novel (1667 words per day, every day).
I did this last year and hit the word count target but did not finish the book, so this year I’m determined to actually finish it!
You can follow my journey on my Instagram account where I’ll be sharing videos talking about what I’m doing and how it’s going.
If you’d like to join in the November challenge by improving your own health and wellbeing to support your creative pursuits, you can download my FREE Coaching Toolkit Resource of The 16 Keys to Wellbeing.
It’s a set of 16 cards and a workbook that you can use each day to support you on your journey.
For more information about me and what I do go to my website www.lucidmover.com or hit me up on socials (@lucidmover) or via email at tom@lucidmover.com.
I wish you a happy, healthy and productive November!
